Palawan is made up of 1768 islands and is the second largest province of the Philippines. It is rated by National Geographic Traveler magazine as the best island destination in East and Southeast Asia region in 2007, and the 13th best island in the world having “incredibly beautiful natural seascapes and landscapes. The island has had a Biosphere Reserve status since early 1990s, showing local interest for conservation and sustainable development”.

Donsol is a popular tourist destination for whale shark viewing which can be seen in its bordering seas. Swimming with whale sharks was featured as the Best Animal Encounter in Asia by Time Magazine in 2004. Whale sharks can be seen between November and June, with presence peaking between February and May. Firefly tour, Shrimp-catching night tour, trekking, biking and diving to the Manta Bowl and San Miguel Island are popular things to do.

Bohol has hills that roll gently around lush forests and grassy meadows. Marine life – from schools of tiny reef fish to bigger pods of dolphins and whales – teem in the surrounding waters. It is essentially an agricultural province, with rice, coconut and corn as main produce. Fishing is a major industry and handicrafts from this area is famous throughout the country.

Pangasinan is famous for the Hundred Islands National Park. This is a marine park located off the coast of Alaminos City in the Lingayen Gulf and is composed of some 123 islands, most of which are quite small and uninhabited.

  1. Sustainable eco-tourism is the key. Ensuring that the Philippines tourists destinations are not only accessible but these tourists destinations should always be clean and appropriately maintained (using only electric public vehicles) and the price of hotels must be very reasonable.

    Please note that boatmen must not be allowed to smoke while on duty. An elevated waste water treatment plants must be installed in the area so as not to pollute the water around.

    Also, please promote (to both local and foreign tourists)local food, fruits and products which are famous in the destination areas.
